Toone Elementary School offers an Extended School Day (ESD) program.  This program is offered to all students.  When the program is full, parents wishing to add their student to the waiting list can contact their child’s teacher.

ESD sessions take place from 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. on Monday through Friday and 3:05 p.m. to 5:35 p.m. on Monday through Thursday.  Students receive 30 minutes of homework time as well as enrichment opportunities in areas such as reading, math, science, technology, arts and physical activity.  There is also a drama group opportunity.  The final presentation occurs in the spring semester.  

ESD usually begins in September and ends around TCAP testing in April.  As a culminating activity, all students who attend at least 75% of their sessions are eligible for a celebration at the end of the school year.
